I grew up in the 80s. Watched three sitcoms about nuclear families: "Family Ties", "The Cosby Show", and "Growing Pains". TV dads aren't supposed to die young.

Endorsement: "Occupied"

Unsolicited endorsement: "Occupied" on Netflix. Forget everything you would ever assume about a subtitled Norwegian drama about a Russian invasion triggered by an overreaction to climate change. Just watch this show. Utterly riveting television. Everything that would be blood and guts in an American show is done three times better in this show via subtlety and understatement. And in times like these, we need to be reminded that bad things don't always happen in big steps, but rather in tiny, incremental incidents when individuals surrender their moral bearings.
